Cheerleading is a dynamic athletic activity, which involves breath-taking routines such as jumps, tosses, human pyramids, yells, etc. Those who take part in Cheerleading are called Cheerleaders. Cheerleading is considered a sport by several schools and universities. There are more than three million Cheerleaders in America alone, and tens of thousands more in Europe and other parts of the world.
There are also nearly 1.5 million dance team members across the USA.
